Mother Betty Jean Green Obituary (1942 - 2022)

Betty Jean Green “Boo” or “Nanny,” entered eternal rest and ascended to heaven on December 7,2022, she was 80 years old. Betty was born to Mattie Moore and Eddie Morgan July 17, 1942, in Bluffton, Georgia. She moved from Georgia to Coco Beach, Florida, where she attended Monroe High School. After high school she moved to Newark, New Jersey and started her family. Betty worked for Simmons Mattress, and Terry Fabric in New Jersey. She then moved to Delmar, Delaware. She worked for Days Inn Hotel in Salisbury, MD as a supervisor, after which she retired. Betty was a caring, nurturing, and affectionate soul. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. No one would ever go hungry or lack love around her. Her adoration could not be matched by anyone. She loved to take rides down to Virginia to go to her favorite market, Matthew’s, every weekend. She was known to make a mean pot of greens. She joined the congregation of Greater Bethel Zion Church of God in Christ in which she became the Church Mother. She was a pious and devout Christian. Betty showed unconditional love and she was loved unconditionally. Betty is preceded in death by, her father, Eddie Morgan; husband, Daniel Green; sisters, Geneva Crews and Rebecca James; brother, Emmanuel Enos; daughters, Jennifer Thomas and Rose Marie Frasier. Betty leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: her children, Rufford Enos, Luretta Alexander, Terry Jackson (Dwight), Berry Thomas, Joyce Green (Curtis), and Ernest Thomas (Tiffany); mother, Mattie Enos; sister, Mattie Brown; brothers, Eugene Enos (Lottie), Willie George Enos (Dorothy), Eddie Enos, and Omar Enos; godsister, Elaine Youngblood; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, Milan Goodwine; aunt, Dorothy Jones, uncle, Henry Johnson, and a plethora of nieces, nephews, and close friends to mourn her sun setting.
