Glenn Dudley

–

Wilmington, Delaware

Glenn S. Dudley, known to all as Glenn, was born on the 25th of July, 1961, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. He spent his days spreading joy and laughter with every snip and cut in his barbershop, an occupation he cherished for over 30 years. Glenn's charm and caring touch turned every haircut into an experience to remember. He was not just a master barber, but a friend, a confidant, a storyteller. His shop in Wilmington, Delaware, was more than a place for a trim; it was a community hub where stories were exchanged, advice given, and friendships formed. Glenn left us on March 18th, 2024, leaving a legacy and a community touched by his kindness and skill.

Glenn was a man of many talents and passions. He loved sports, often found playing on the local fields or cheering on his favorite teams from the sidelines. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his love for the game brought people together. Whether he was on the field or at his barber's chair, Glenn's spirit and love for life were contagious. He was never married but was a dedicated father to his children. His love for them was profound and everlasting, and he passed on his passion for sports and his zest for life to each of them.

Glenn is survived by his beloved children, Olivia Barlow, Namir Dudley, Naim Dudley, Glenn Hicks, and Jaden Dudley, his dear sister, Melissa Dudley Benson (Milton), loving grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ameila Dudley. As we remember Glenn, may we take solace in the words from the Methodist Hymn, "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory."

We invite all who knew and loved Glenn to share their memories and photos on his memorial page. In celebrating his life, we keep his memory alive and honor the remarkable man he was. His spirit, his laughter, his stories will forever be a part of our lives.
