–

Dover, Delaware

It is with a profound sense of both loss and celebration that we commemorate the life of Joyce Georgia Gorman, who passed away on June 20, 2026. Joyce was born in New Castle, Delaware on October 14, 1946 to the late Anne Dellinger and Frank Sr. She was a beacon of light in her community and a pillar of resilience, her spirit was as captivating as her love for life was infectious.

Joyce was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a compassionate and creative soul, known for her unique crafts and was the local Avon Lady and Tupperware Lady, leaving a trail of beauty in her wake. Her courage and resilience were evident in her career as a manager at Exxon Gas Station, where she navigated the challenges with grace and determination. Outside of work, she was a passionate NASCAR fan, a hobby that showcased her adventurous spirit. She was vivacious and full of life, embodying the quote by Helen Keller, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."

She was a beloved mother to Brenda Saunders and a cherished aunt to Christine Wootten. Her legacy will live on in her three granddaughters, Nicole Saunders, Sandra Saunders, and Stacey Kinsey, and her five great-grandchildren, Aaryonna, Alayna, La’Von, Li’yah, and Charlie. Joyce's love and dedication to her family were unwavering. The heart of her existence was the time she spent with her family, as she firmly believed, "Family is not an important thing. It's everything." - Michael J. Fox.

As we remember Joyce, let's not forget her radiant smile that could light up any room, her courageous spirit that inspired everyone who knew her, and her resilient heart that loved deeply. We invite you to share your memories and photos of Joyce on her memorial page, to help us celebrate her extraordinary life.
