On June 22, 2024, after a lengthy and hard-fought battle against pancreatic and lung cancer, Kim Simpson passed peacefully in Dover, Delaware, surrounded by family and friends, including her loving wife of 24 years, Donna, devoted daughter Crystal, and her caring friend, Arnie Grandell-Bennett. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile, dry wit, infectious laugh, and her sense of adventure.

Kim lived a life of passions, and she had many.

After having obtained her Master of Social Work in 2015, she helped many people battle their addictions. She gave many years of service to the youth at the Stevenson House. Kim loved camping with her friends and family, creating art, music, motorcycles, and sunbathing at the lake.

All this, but the pinnacle of her love, care, and devotion was her family.

Kim and Donna made a life together, raised a family together, and held each other through it all. Michael, Crystal, and Jennifer, their three children, will always remember that she loved them, through good and bad. Her fur babies, Galileo, Dobby, John Boy, and Ben would agree.

Her grandchildren, Garrett, Connor, Jayden, MaKenna, Micah, and Everly, were her favorite people. The fun, joys, laughter, and memories of their epic Nerf Wars and Skipbo games will be with them forever.

A selfless stalwart within the community, Kim was of service to multiple charities and at multiple events where her help was needed. She loved the community and devoted her time to giving back.

Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, father-Jack Simpson, and Aunt Genevieve Wagman. Kim is survived by her loving and devoted wife, Donna Simpson, and children, Michael Tickner (Jennifer Tickner-spouse), Crystal Tickner, and Jennifer Schwab, her uncle Richard Headley, Brothers- Sean Simpson and John Simpson, and sister- Jennifer Simpson-Vietro. Grandchildren Garrett Tickner, Connor Tickner, JayDen Tickner, MaKenna Tickner, Micah Ryles, and Everly Tickner, Nieces, Shannon Perry, Sophia Vietro and Eden Vietro, Amanda Simpson, nephew, John Anthony Simpson, her loving camp family, and mother, Nancy Simpson.

Kim will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
