Marlene Marla Taylor , 65 , of Selbyville, Delaware passed in the comfort of her home and in the company of her daughter Angela and loving furry companion Coco. Following a four month long journey of therapies, a life saving surgery, rehab stays, home care visits and then what led to hospice she is no longer suffering or struggling.
Marlene was born on January 26th, 1961 to James Thornton Deane and Frances Madeline Deane (maiden De Lacey) later raised by Orville and Hilda Meinschein. Marlene is survived by her son Matthew and wife Rebecca, grandchildren Alexander and Olivia, her daughter Angela and partner Ian as well as her “adopted” granddaughter Naomi in which she shared a home , her sister Charlene and wife Ruth, brother James Deane and wife Sandra, nieces Emily Buzgierski and husband Mike, Sara Hampt and husband Alex and many other surviving relatives on both her side and her husband’s side.
She spent most of her life in Baltimore, Maryland where she raised her two children Matthew and Angela with her husband Dennis. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Allan Taylor, her biological parents, foster parents Orville and Hilda Meinschein and beloved sister Darlene Weber.
She was a lover of the outdoors, an avid gardener and a devoted mother and grandmother. Her work with the banks took her to many new cities and states during business travel where she enjoyed new restaurants and different social events. She traveled to the beaches and campgrounds with her husband and children throughout their childhood creating many fond memories that will be cherished over the years. She enjoyed bullroasts and barbecues with family and friends. She later moved to Downey, Idaho following her husband’s retirement to a home viewing the mountains and then after his death moved to the Beaches of Delaware with her daughter. Marlene was a confidant, adventurer, teacher, forgiver, lover and friend. She was always looking for a new restaurant, a new journey, a new friend furry or human. She was a woman that led with love, opened her home and her heart and had an ear and shoulder for whoever needed it, strong willed and kind she never left anyone questioning her love for them. With her passing she leaves her family and friends with much sadness covered in happy memories and laughter that will be cherished forever.
Thank you for teaching us, loving us and never turning your back on us, with love, Matthew and Angela.
