Mildred J. Powell, 100, of Selbyville, Delaware, transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 25, 1926, to the late Beatrice Tingle and Levin Purnell.
Mildred attended Snow Hill Public Schools. Over the years, she worked picking tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, and cucumbers. She also babysat children and worked at H&H, now known as Mountaire Farms, until her retirement in 1987.
